Elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 1996, Chief Udechukwu has represented several persons and Corporations; local and international, in several complex and multilateral legal disputes. A litigator per excellence, Chief Udechukwu has uncommon passion for litigation which has seen him successfully represent Clients in several landmark decisions both at the Supreme Court of Nigeria as well as the Court of Appeal. His contribution to the refinement of legal jurisprudence in Nigeria cannot be overemphasized.
Udechukwu began his legal adventure as a State Counsel in the Ministry of Justice in 1978. He had a brief stint with corporate practice while at the Nigeria Industrial Development Bank in 1979 before delving into full-time private legal practice in 1980. In recognition of his distinctive achievements in his legal career, the Anambra State Government, in 2003 appointed Udechukwu as the Honourable Attorney General/Commissioner of Justice, a position he held until 2006. He has also served at different times on several Government Commissions and is an active member of the Nigeria Bar association.
